I started photographing my surroundings when I was still in high school, learned the basics of photography and knew I wanted to be a photographer and creative.
I started my journey with an old Sony camera, my father gave me as a present. It broke pretty early on in my journey and I transitioned to a phase of my work, where I didn't shoot anything but film. I basically learned anything I know about photography on analog media in a digital era of media.
During my "FILM ONLY"-era I mainly took pictures of friends, family or my surroundings on the street. Film is still probably my preferred media to shoot on with people.
Simultaneously to my love for photography, I developed my love for music and decided to shoot a show of bands I liked at the time. I shot my first concerts in April 2019.
When the pandemic hit in 2020 I documented many parts of my life at home or outside with my cameras. I still took pictures of my family, friends and daily life as a hobby during the pandemic that held on for a long time.
When social life slowly came back in 2022, I always had a camera with me, even if it was just my small point & shoot camera to take photographs documenting my life on film during spring and summer. I wanted to combine my love for music and photograph, so I started shooting small amount of shows again in summer 2022. When I started realising, it does not make sense to shoot shows on film, I bought my first digital camera in years in the end of 2022 and immediately started take pictures of my first concerts back on digital media.
In 2023 I created most of photography at concerts, as music photography is what I love. I started my own business as a side hustle in May 2023, finally becoming a professional photographer. I started working with some of my favourite artists and meeting new.
In 2024 I worked with a lot of Artists like Arm´s Length, Prince Daddy and The Hyena, Bad Assumption, Goose Park. In a small team, I recorded social media content for Jera on Air in the Netherlands, photographed performing artists and visitors of the festival. I was commissioned by 5B to take photographs of Kreator for their "KLASH OF THE RUHRPOTT"-Festival and documented the performance of Kreator, their Meet and Greet and the fans throughout the day and during the Performance.
In September 2024, I took a bold step in my creative journey by enrolling in the Photography and Photo Design program at Fachhochschule Dortmund. This marked the beginning of a new chapter where I immersed myself fully in refining my craft. My focus sharpened on both analog and digital photography, diving deep into the technical and artistic aspects of the medium, while expanding my horizons into the world of design. Despite exploring new creative territories, my heart remained dedicated to documentary work.
